About the Job

Location: United States (Remote)
Department: Sales (Clinical Trials)
Reports to: VP of Clinical Trials

We are seeking to hire an Account Director with 5+ years of relevant experience to support our sales activities.

The ideal candidate will have experience selling Software-as-a-Service solutions within life sciences, with a focus on solutions for pharmaceutical and biotech companies related to clinical trials and programs, including exposure to connected device solutions.

A successful candidate must have a demonstrable ability to grow revenue and foster relationships with top-tier pharmaceutical and biotech companies.

This remote role reports to the VP, Clinical Trials. The Account Director role will normally include significant travel commitments.

 

Responsibilities

Customer Onboarding & Implementation
  • Manage all aspects of the sales process from lead generation to sales closure, including capabilities and proposal presentations.
  • Develop an account plan for the assigned territory/accounts and report on plan progress throughout the plan year.
  • Entry and maintenance of accurate and timely data in CRM systems related to customers, contacts, sales activities, pipeline progression, and contracts.
  • Represent Vivalink at industry-related conferences and trade shows.
  • Work with our Commercial Operations, Product, and Regulatory teams to respond to RFI’s and RFP’s within assigned accounts.
  • Build and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders and business teams within assigned accounts to facilitate repeat Vivalink business.
  • Manage, coordinate, and facilitate ongoing meetings within assigned accounts.
  • Leverage internal expertise for guidance and thought leadership as needed.
  • Meet and exceed sales quotas on a consistent basis.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Background & Skills
  • At least 5+ Years’ experience in a direct sales role in the life sciences industry
  • Experience related to selling clinical trial solutions and complex technology and services.
  • Proven track record of consistent sales quota attainment based on a versatile solution portfolio.
  • Ability to produce an effective territory/account plan and execute the plan to achieve assigned sales targets.
  • Ability to build and manage a sales funnel and pipeline to accurately forecast projected sales achievement.
  • Strong planning and organization skills, able to plan and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to demonstrate an engaging, empathetic communication style.
  • Enthusiasm and the ability to quickly build rapport.
  • Motivated to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and results-oriented work environment.
  • Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
