What Remote Cardiac Rehab
Patients Want

We surveyed 152 adults with cardiac conditions on what drives participation in at-home rehab, what holds them back, and how they feel about wearable monitoring.

What’s inside

Adoption. 68% prefer a home-based or hybrid model over in-clinic programs.

Technology. 63% cite automatic data transmission as the top factor for ease of use. At least 84% are comfortable sharing ECG, heart rate, and blood pressure data.

Drivers. Patients rank insurance coverage ahead of every clinical and convenience factor. 60% will not pay out of pocket without insurance.

Barriers. Patients worry about the workout more than the wearable. Their top concerns are motivation to exercise alone (40%), no space or equipment at home (37%), and doing the exercises wrong (31%).

Survey takeaway

Convenience helps, but oversight is what they ask for.

Patients are open to wearable monitoring at home, but willingness rises when the program feels clinically guided and financially supported. The survey points to a practical design requirement for remote cardiac rehab: pair convenience with coverage, oversight, and a plan patients can follow with confidence.
